Job TitleSummary Description
Direct Support ProfessionalServing Cuyahoga, Lake, Summit, Geauga, Medina and Lorain Counties. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available. Part-time or Full-time interest.

Under the direction of the House Manager/Site Manager, the DSP will provide direct care and lifestyle support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties will be performed in a manner that ensures the health, safety, happiness and successful achievements of service objectives outlined in their Individual Service Plan (ISP).

Good writing skills for documentation, a high-level of cleanliness, conflict resolution and the skill of emotional intelligence will ensure that high-quality service is provided to persons-served. First-Aid/CPR Certificate required.
Companion Caregiver or HomemakerProvides for the maintenance of a safe and clean environment while performing light housekeeping tasks, snack & meal preparation and companionship activities for persons-served, in their residences. Performs errands and/or provides transportation. Provides care, help with activities of daily living and companionship to include accompanying persons-served on walks, trips to recreational activities and assisting with hobbies.

Light housekeeping consists of: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, washing dishes and changing bed linens.

DSP or House ManagerResponsible for the delivery of residential services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities or individuals who need regular assistance with activities of daily living. The focus of the DSP/House Manager includes daily direct care (non-medical), directing and working with the HTCG team to ensure the health and safety, happiness, and independence of persons-served.

Two years’ of direct care experience in a supervisory role (preferred)
Previous experience providing support to people with disabilities is required.
Excellent writing skills.
Excellent decision making, time management and conflict resolution skills
Dependable, courteous, and adaptable.
First-Aid/CPR Certificate required.
STNA or CNACan apply to perform any of the positions listed above on this page.
Custodial Worker/HousekeeperDirectly responsible for cleaning assigned areas of the facility and set-up/clean-up for meetings and regular activities.
DriverOperate and maintain vehicle or bus equipment used for the transportation of children, adults and staff to and from field trips, group activities and special events in a safe manner. Maintain records of use, mileage, safety, repairs and service.
Site AdministratorResponsible for maintaining compliance in all service areas and ensure that learning programs meet Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) child care licensing regulations and other performance standards.  Assure that facilities and classrooms are functioning properly, that safety measures are in place, personnel are allocated efficiently and that program operations are in compliance.
Assistant Teacher/Teacher AssistantReview the daily plan and be prepared to assist with the care and learning of children. Assist the Teacher, Site Administrator or Director in maintaining the classroom environment.
Receives vended meals and ensures all items are present at time of delivery. Heat and serve meals that are prepped in advance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, push and pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.

Must complete skills checklist at hire.

Must pass complete criminal background checks (could take up to 45 days).

HS Diploma/GED Required.

Strong attention to detail.

Patience and compassion required.

Availability to work any shift.

2 years’ of direct care (preferred)

Previous experience providing support to people with disabilities (preferred)

2+ years’ experience in education or Head Start program is required for positions in our Early Learning Centers.
